If I want to get more involved

people involved in river conservation

Join your local group that cares for the river. It can be as simple as doing something once a year or a more regular commitment. Whatever time you have, there is a group or organisation operating in your area making a difference for your local river.

Become a River Monitor

Are you interested in monitoring the health of your river? Then join the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust's River Monitors Scheme, part of the national Riverfly Partnership. The Trust will provide full training, equipment and ongoing support. The programme includes surveying for aquatic insects which are excellent indicators of river health.
